Welcome to Field Notes from Silver River

Welcome to Field Notes from Silver River, a place to share stories from the vineyard, notes on wine and winemaking, native plants, seasonal changes, community events, and the ongoing work of caring for this land. We hope these observations offer a closer look at life at Silver River Vineyards and invite you to follow along as we continue to learn, grow, and build something meaningful here in San Miguel.

Why We Are Starting Field Notes

Silver River Vineyards is entering an exciting new chapter. Since opening our doors, we have been encouraged by the warm response from visitors, neighbors, friends, and members of the local community. As the vineyard continues to grow, we wanted a place to share more than occasional announcements. Field Notes gives us room to tell the fuller story of what is happening here, from vineyard work and winemaking to native plants, sustainability, events, experiments, and the people who help bring Silver River to life.

What You Can Expect

In future Field Notes, we will share updates from the vineyard and winery, stories behind our wines, seasonal observations, native plant projects, sustainability efforts, upcoming events, and occasional glimpses into the science, craft, and daily work behind Silver River. Some posts will be practical, some reflective, and some simply a record of what we are seeing and learning along the way.

Follow Along

We are glad you are here at the beginning of Field Notes from Silver River. We invite you to follow along as the seasons change, the wines develop, and new ideas take root across the vineyard. There is always something unfolding at Silver River, and we look forward to sharing more of it with you.
